A close-up on the panel that almost killed me from my present for Rae's birthday(s). (The comic and the creator basically share a birthday.)
Now you can see the expressions! ::facepalm::

Tlaloc went to special lengths to celebrate Go Fish's 2nd birthday (& Rae's b-day too)! A double-layer (*snerk*) angel food cake...bound by his very own special god-power water-bonds!

100% digital from start to finish. I created and posed the figures in Poser to use as references for each panel. So basically, if it has skin--I had a reference. lol Everything else (clothes, hair, objects, etc) drawn without any hard references.

The full comic that this is from (as well as a small explanation on the premise) can be found here: Angel Food

The finished panel of my beloved, scrunched-up-faced angel can be found in a full version here: Angel Food--Doomed

My original layout sketch for this project can be found here: Angel Food--rough

everything drawn with a Wacom tablet in Photoshop CS
3D figures used for reference created using Poser 7

For those who care what 3D figures I customized for this:
Baxter, Tlaloc, Geoffrey, Killian, Trent, Roger created using DAZ's David 3.0 figure & morphs
Alex & the angels created using DAZ's Michael 3.0 figure & morphs

Baxter, Tlaloc (not pictured here...but is in the full version), Geoffrey, Killian, Trent, Roger, Alex & "Go Fish" © :icontea-for-me:
The two doomed angels and art © ME! Mwhahaha!

Oh I'm so glad this panel is larger. I was straining to see these details.

Yes...yes it is and will forever be my desktop.

...at least until next year.

Yeah, I was hugely disappointed in myself when I realized how foolish I was to think I could put that many full-body figures in a small panel and hope to have their expressions be conveyed... ::facepalm::
Lesson learned, I suppose...

Oh dear...that means you want more art next year? lol

Fun factoid: Killian's collared shirt was originally lime green--even brighter than Alex's! XD
