This drawing is inspired by that most famous of images from Gene Kelly's "Singing in the Rain" routine. This is Rae's character Tlaloc, the Aztec god of rain and fertility, from her comic, Go Fish. (Again. Gee, can you tell I like him? XD )

The idea for this pic came from my conversation with Yami about her drawing here: Tlaloc :: Bathtime by :iconyamikaosu:

This is the 4th incarnation of this drawing, as I abandoned previous attempts a few times. Unfortunately, because my scanner is dead, this is a photo of the drawing. Which means that it is probably slightly distorted and I am not at all happy with the shading details as they are seen here. Some areas seem to have more contrast than they should while others have less. :/ Oh well, it will have to do until I can get my paws on a scanner.

OMFG EMO DUCKY UMBRELLA!

Oh he's delightful! Thank you!

Please support my graphic novel series GO FISH. The story of an atheist, his friend and his god. Now in Adobe Illustrator!
XDD
You noticed! Woo!!
That umbrella is inspired by an umbrella we actually own...only it's not emo...
He got it at Hot Topic, to match his rubber ducky. ^_~

Glad you like 'im!
Haha, wow, it's little wonder that I feel like such an inferior artist when I look at your things. *emo sigh* XD

Geesh, if his rubber ducky was $20, I can only imagine how much he spent on the matching umbrella. He probably pays more for every matching item he gets.

...you know we need to design a line of these now, right?

:/ Don't do that! I've seen you work, I know what you can do when you have a reference. I'm still astonished by the clarity of your linework & I love your faces. Honestly, you should see the thing I was working on today...I was this close to screaming at it and tossing it aside until I could get you to come over and give Alex a face.

Fortunately, being both an emo rock star AND a god, money is no object when it comes to his emo ducky collection.

o.o OMB--We do!!
We so need to go back to the flexing the art muscles thing again...we'll get you working on faces and me on bodies. XD

Good thing too. He's got to have it all.

*Tlaloc grin* Heheh... *ponders on what other emo duck items there could be...and how to incorporate them in future pictures...*

For a second, I read your comment as being "you working on faces and me on bodies...good thing too--he's got to have it all." Meaning....Tlaloc must have faces and bodies/a good face and good body... Both of which can be taken a several ways... XDDD

Yes!!! More art-ing! Flexing art muscles! We must do it! ::stomp::

::fangy grin:: I have some ideas...we'll have to discuss them... :mwahaha:
wow..the modern one~~

and the umbrella is pretty cute~!
Thank you--I'm glad you like it! ^_^
Only...may I ask what you mean by "the modern one"?
